Scratch

Scratch allows you to program interactive stories, games and animations and then to share these with the global community. It makes children think in structured creative ways and it teaches them how to work together. All of which are important skills in the 21st century.

This project is by Lifelong Kindergarten at the MIT Media Lab and it is freely available.

We haven’t included too many screenshots – it’s much easier to comprehend what it is and what it does if you head over there and have a look around the existing shared content. But here’s also a direct link to a couple of Gaelic samples.

You can get an account here. If you’re using a Gaelic browser, it comes up in Gaelic automatically but otherwise, use the menu at the bottom:
